In a large pot of lightly salted boiling water, cook green beans for 5 to 8 minutes or until crispy but tender.  Drain the beans into a colander and cover to keep them warm while preparing almonds.  In the same pot, add butter and almonds; stir constantly until almonds and butter are browned.   Add the green beans to the butter and almonds; toss well. Taste and add salt as needed.
