Green Beans with Browned Butter & Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh or frozen green beans, trimmed if fresh (I prefer frozen, cut)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 raw sliced almonds

Instructions

In a large pot of lightly salted boiling water, cook green beans for 5 to 8 minutes or until crispy but tender.

Drain the beans into a colander and cover to keep them warm while preparing almonds.

In the same pot, add butter and almonds; stir constantly until almonds and butter are browned.

Add the green beans to the butter and almonds; toss well.

Taste and add salt as needed. Season with freshly cracked pepper.
