Best Egg Substitutes for Baking

According to several sources, Bob’s Red Mill 100% Vegetarian Egg Replacer is the most successful egg replacer for baking. Here are others (listed from best to worst).

Equivalent to 1 egg:

1/4 cup of silken tofu

2 ounces of plain whole-milk or low-fat yogurt mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil

3 tablespoons liquid from a can of chickpeas

1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds mixed with 2 to 3 tablespoons water, allow to sit 5 minutes

1 tablespoon chia seeds mixed with 2 to 3 tablespoons water
