Great Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a bowl and stir to combine.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Pour a little oil into your hands and shape the mixture into a patty. Repeat for each one. The oil makes them easier to handle and also adds a great outer crust to the burger.
  • Add a little butter and oil to a non-stick skillet and pre-heat over medium high heat.
  • Add the burgers and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until completely cooked through (internal temperature should be 165). Check the bottom after a few minutes to make sure they aren’t browning too quickly. Adjust heat as needed.
  • Place the burgers on the buns, add toppings as desired, then serve.
