SIMPLE
- 1 pound ground turkey (not turkey breast)
- 1 tablespoon plain breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
SEASONED (Adapted from dinneratthezoo.com)
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Place all ingredients into a bowl and stir to combine.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Pour a little oil into your hands and shape the mixture into a patty. Repeat for each one (The oil makes them easier to handle and also adds a great outer crust to the burger).
Add a little butter and oil to a non-stick skillet and pre-heat over medium-high heat.
Add the burgers and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until completely cooked through (internal temperature should be 165).
