Gluten Free Sourdough Crumpets

My starter is 50 percent hydration fed with 1/2 brown rice flour and half 1-1 gluten free baking flour.

Gluten Free Sourdough Crumpets

Serves: 6


  • 250g/8.8 oz sourdough starter or discard
  • 65ml/2.2 oz water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying



Mix all ingredients. It should be a pourable consistency like thickened cream.
