Bread Machine Honey Wheat

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (70° to 80°)
  • 1/2 cup water (70° to 80°)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions

Beat the egg into a medium bowl. Add the milk, water, melted butter, honey and salt. Pour into the bread machine bowl.

In a separate bowl, sift together the bread flour and whole wheat flour. Pour the flour into the bread machine bowl on top of the milk

Sprinkle the yeast over the top of the flour.

Set the bread machine "whea" and set the crust to "light".

Turn the machine on and watch it begin to knead. If the if the dough seems wet, sprinkle in a little flour - you'll want to keep adding flour until the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl rather than sticking to it.
